The MLA Emerging Leaders Task Force will present a review of the MLA “Rising Stars” leadership development pilot program, including presentations by rising stars:

- Emily Hurst, technology coordinator, HAM-TMC Library, Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center–Houston

- Robert Johnson, research librarian, Nursing, Science Library, University of California–Irvine, concerning their projects.

Is this your first MLA meeting? Not sure what to attend? Need someone to show you the ropes? Or do you want to help a member maneuver MLA’s annual meeting? Then sign up for the Colleague Connection. This popular networking program pairs a first-time attendee with an experienced member. Once assigned, the pairs work out their own meeting schedules.
If you signed up for Colleague Connection, sign up to attend the New Member/First-time Attendees Program and Breakfast, Sunday, May 15, 7:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. (see the MLA '11 registration form). Shortly after signing up to attend the breakfast, you will receive an official invitation via email.
